* Monthly allowance does not roll-over and does not include:

  • Major functionality changes. These are considered projects and will be quoted accordingly.
  • Changing a plugin (due to it becoming redundant) or fixing a conflict between plugins. This will take time to set up or diagnose the issue, and will be an additional cost.
  • Your site’s security is a priority for us, but there is always a risk of getting hacked. If this happens and we are not able to use one of the backups to restore to, the cost of having your site cleaned by an external provider will be an additional fee.
  • All prices are inclusive of Australian GST.

Below you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the website care plans.

Are there any setup fees?

If Made by Hudson created your website, there is no set up fee as long as it’s within the first 90 days after your site goes live or your included maintenance period ends.

If we created your website, and you’d like to join the care plan after the initial 90 days, there is a $110 set up fee. This allows us to check over the site, make any updates necessary, clean up the database, install our maintenance suite, create a backup schedule and any other tasks that arise.

If you have an existing website you would like us to take over for you, there is a $450 set up fee. This covers the migration of the site and DNS (and email if required), installing our maintenance suite, creating a backup, checking the existing theme, plugins and security as well as learning the back end to ensure it can be effectively maintained.

I already have a hosting plan with another provider. Will you be able to maintain my website?
Unfortunately, no. Not all hosting companies are created equally. We use Conetix, an Australian hosting company for our client sites. We have worked with them for many years and can vouch for their quality and service. If we need to liaise with a hosting provider about your website, it can be difficult if we do not have a direct relationship with them.
What if I need to upgrade or downgrade my care plan?
No problem! Let us know at any time if you need to upgrade or downgrade your existing plan, and we can make the adjustment for the next billing cycle.
Are there cancellation fees?
No. If for any reason you need to cancel your monthly maintenance plan, you have complete freedom to do so. Our billing cycle works from the start of each month, so we just ask for 30 days notice. If you change your mind at any time, the door is always open should you decide to come back to the plan.
What if I pass on the plan?
Signing up to one of our care plans is not mandatory for clients having their site built by us (but we do highly recommend it) because of the importance of security, optimisation, updates, backups, support, etc.

If you pass on the care plan after launch, you are assuming complete responsibility for your website updates, security, backups and other services laid out in our care plans terms and conditions. This releases us from any involvement if and when your website is breached, hacked or performs poorly because of the lack of proper optimisation.
